We needed a more durable, ergonomic solution that still delivered the same unbeatable comfort.
Model #2: The Sling Fabric Breakthrough – A Game Changer for Durability
This was a major turning point in our journey. Instead of rattan, we discovered sling chair fabric—a high-performance material that:

✅ Was easy to maintain and replace
✅ Offered the same luxurious comfort as the original
But working with sling fabric came with new challenges.
We invested in an industrial sewing machine that looked like it belonged in a sci-fi movie, and while it elevated the chair’s durability, sewing the fabric directly onto the frame took even longer than hand-weaving the rattan.
So, we made a crucial design shift: detachable arms. This was the stepping stone to our next breakthrough.
Model #3: The Assembly Experiment – A Lesson in Practicality
At this stage, production time was soaring, and shipping costs were crushing us.
To make the Cloud Chair more affordable, we designed a disassembled version—breaking it down into five pieces so customers could assemble it themselves.

After months of testing, we realized this wasn’t practical. We ended up hand-delivering and assembling chairs for customers—clearly not a scalable solution.

This version was all about balance.
We kept the detachable arms, but we completely revamped the fabric attachment method, introducing a hook-and-loop system that made the chair easier to assemble and maintain.
